Openfield Survey – Modules

Openfield Survey's basic application is an ideal tool to create simple electronic survey forms. The following modules expand the application by adding specific advanced features to help implement specific survey workflow scenarios.

Logic jumps

This function lets you define specific conditions that will be tested after each page is submitted. If the conditions are met (for instance, a specific answer given to a question on this page), the user is sent to a different page, letting you control the survey's workflow.

Piping

This module is used to feed data from earlier questions into the text or choices of follow-up questions. This can help you create complex survey scenarios where the actual text of follow-up questions is based on previous choices made by the user.

Data transfer

This module lets you inject external data into the user's survey which lets you in turn get a better profile for each answer, including for instance some profile data, contact identifiers and so on.

Mathematical validators

Validators are objects that are inserted in your survey along with your questions. Those validators can define conditions based on all data available in the survey and either trigger workflow error or display special messages to the user. For instance, a validator can be used to compute a score at the end of a quiz and so on.
